Role Overview:

The Quality and Security Compliance Manager will primarily oversee the Quality Management System, spearhead Continuous Improvement initiatives, and manage Security protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Management Duties:

  • Ensure adherence to quality procedures, standards, and specifications.
  • Assess customer requirements and ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with procurement to define quality expectations from suppliers.
  • Guarantee production processes align with international standards (ISO 9001 and AS9100).
  • Identify opportunities to minimize waste and enhance efficiency.
  • Establish quality procedures in collaboration with operational teams.
  • Monitor performance through data collection and statistical reporting.
  • Propose and implement improvements.
  • Utilize quality tools and ensure staff understanding of quality enhancement methods.
  • Conduct internal audits of the Quality Management System.
  • Provide training on the Quality Management System to new and existing employees.
  • Ensure operational effectiveness to maintain competitive advantage.

Security Management Duties:

  • Hold ultimate responsibility for security controls and related accreditations.
  • Document and maintain the Security Policy and Risk Management documentation.
  • Develop policies in accordance with government and industry standards.
  • Manage contractual obligations and associated actions.
  • Oversee security vetting processes.
  • Participate in security conferences.
  • Report on developments in the defense sector to the Directors.

Qualifications and Skills:

The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual capable of meeting tight deadlines.

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in developing policies in line with ISO 9001.
  • Familiarity with PowerBi is advantageous.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating with Directors.
  • Strong problem-solving and investigative skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work within an international team.
  • Adaptability to changing customer needs.
  • Proficient in Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in Quality Control, Quality Management, and Quality Standards.
  • Familiarity with UK MOD security policies is a plus.
  • Existing SC clearance or willingness to undergo vetting.

Note: This position is available only to candidates with the right to work in the UK without sponsorship and who have resided in the UK for the past 5 years continuously.

All employees must undergo pre-employment screening and meet clearance criteria for UK Security Vetting to CTC Level.
