Overview:


First Military Recruitment is collaborating with a reputable organization seeking to hire a Rail Signalling Installation Engineer on a permanent basis due to expansion in Belfast. The successful candidate can be based anywhere in the UK but will be required to travel to Belfast periodically.

Role Purpose:

The primary objective of this position is to execute tasks as directed, ensuring safety and efficiency in all operations.

Assist the Senior Installer/Technician in fulfilling their responsibilities safely and effectively.


Key Responsibilities:


- Perform assigned tasks, ensuring high productivity and quality workmanship from all team members, including agency and subcontracted personnel on site.
- Guarantee compliance with current quality standards and group/line specifications.
- Prioritize personal safety and the safety of colleagues in all work activities.
- Ensure all site operations adhere to established standards.
- Undertake TSC, Lookout, EO, and Points Operator duties as necessary, along with other relevant safety responsibilities.
- Utilize power tools and portable equipment where certified.
- Assist in S.M.T.H work as required.
- Step in for the Senior Installer when necessary.
- Work independently as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Familiarity with signalling modules SMTH, Mod 3C, Mod 5 is preferred.
- Must possess a driving license or be willing to learn.
- PTS certification.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools.
