At Babcock International Group, we are dedicated to fostering a secure and efficient environment, and by joining our team, you will contribute significantly as a Signalling Installer.

Position Overview
As a Signalling Installer, your responsibilities will be unique and impactful. Babcock collaborates with Network Rail and various rail sector clients to ensure a safe, dependable, and effective rail system throughout Northern Ireland.

In your daily activities, you will assist in the deployment of signalling apparatus along the railway tracks in Northern Ireland, which includes:

  • Implementing Train Protection Warning Systems and Automatic Warning Systems
  • Conducting service and repairs
  • Performing reactive troubleshooting
  • Supporting new location initiatives

This position operates on a rotating schedule over a four-week period, with variable hours. Additional compensation is provided for overtime work, along with a roster premium.

Required Qualifications for the Signalling Installer

  • Proven experience in Signalling and Telecommunications
  • Possession of an IRSE Licence
  • Completion of Technical Signalling training courses

Preferred Credentials

  • IRSE Licence
  • Completion of signalling modules SMTH, Mod 3C, Mod 5 is advantageous
  • TSC certification is desirable
