Job Overview:
First Military Recruitment is collaborating with a reputable organization seeking to hire a Rail Signalling Installation Engineer on a permanent basis due to expansion in Belfast. The successful candidate can be based anywhere in the UK but must be willing to travel to Belfast as necessary.
The primary objective of this role is to execute tasks as directed, ensuring safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities include supporting the Senior Installer/Technician in fulfilling their duties in a safe and responsible manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform tasks as directed, ensuring acceptable productivity and quality of work from all team members, including Agency/Sub-Contractors on site.
- Ensure compliance with current quality standards and group/line regulations.
- Prioritize personal safety and the safety of colleagues during all work activities.
- Conduct all site operations in accordance with established standards.
- Undertake TSC, Lookout, EO, Points Op duties as required, along with other relevant safety responsibilities.
- Utilize power tools and portable equipment where certified.
- Assist in S.M.T.H work as needed.
- Act as a deputy for the Senior Installer when required.
- Work independently as necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Familiarity with signalling modules SMTH, Mod 3C, Mod 5 is desirable.
- Valid driving license or willingness to learn.
- PTS certification.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Basic electrical knowledge.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools.
