UK&I Payroll Operations Coordinator

Overview:

This pivotal position within the HR Services for the UK and Ireland is accountable to the Payroll Team Leader. The role involves supporting the HR Services Manager, HR Team, and key stakeholders by delivering expert advice and insights on Payroll processes and relevant legislation. The primary goal is to ensure a seamless and punctual payroll service that meets business requirements while fostering a culture of continuous improvement to enhance customer satisfaction, payroll precision, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Payroll Execution: Guarantee timely and accurate monthly payments to all employees by preparing and entering data into the SAP Payroll system. Adhere to all processes in accordance with the designated timelines both before and after payroll execution.
  • Compliance with Payroll Legislation: Ensure adherence to all statutory regulations and company policies, processing payroll in alignment with these requirements. Meet all statutory deadlines and obligations.
  • Employee Payroll Services: Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all payroll-related inquiries, delivering exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Time Management System Oversight: Central management of the UK&I time and attendance solution (UKG dimensions), including verification of accrual profiles and manual assignments as necessary. Assign appropriate pay rules manually and assist with delegation activities.
  • Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement in Payroll and Time Attendance: Ensure a high-quality payroll service is delivered and evaluated against our KPIs, making adjustments as needed, and continuously striving for process enhancements and digitization to improve employee experience and optimize team efficiency.
Required Skills and Attributes:
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a complex Payroll environment.
  • Strong knowledge of tax regulations and working time laws, with a commitment to staying updated on relevant information.
  • Experience in managing time and attendance systems is advantageous.
  • Essential collaboration skills to work closely with HR Business Partners, HR administration, managers, and employees.
  • Proactive approach and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong focus on compliance and risk management.
  • Passionate about customer service and continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in English is essential.
Educational Background:
  • A minimum of 3 A Levels; a university degree is preferred.
  • Professional qualifications in Payroll or Finance are advantageous.
