Role Overview:
Our country houses serve as serene retreats for guests embarking on guided or self-guided tour holidays. As a Relief Manager, your role will encompass covering for annual leave, illness, and vacancies across our properties, providing a unique opportunity for a House Manager to gain experience in all 16 of our Country Houses in the UK.

Your Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Excellence in Customer Service: Supervise all facets of customer service, ensuring uncompromising standards.
  • Culinary Oversight: Manage the culinary experience, guiding chefs to consistently deliver outstanding food quality within budgetary constraints.
  • Leadership in Front of House: Direct the front of house team, ensuring immaculate conditions in all guest rooms and communal areas.
  • Property Maintenance and Aesthetics: Collaborate with the Maintenance Person and properties team to monitor, report, and resolve internal and external repairs and property issues.
  • Centralized Support Utilization: Leverage support from our Central functions for recruitment, occupancy, Health & Safety, purchasing, stock management, and reporting.

As a covering General Manager, your ability to contribute to our team extends beyond professional skills; it encompasses your capacity to infuse warmth, leadership, and excellence into every aspect of our Country House operations.

Desired Qualifications:
We invite applications from individuals possessing the following essential skills:
  • A commercial background in the Tourism or Hospitality sector. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience as Hotel Managers, Country House Managers, Hotel General Managers, or Hospitality Managers, demonstrating a successful management history within a hotel, country house, or similar establishment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to varied working hours, especially during evenings and weekends.
