Job Summary:
The Deputy Service Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our housing advocacy service, providing expert support to survivors and their children. This will involve managing a team of Housing Advocates, developing and implementing effective advocacy strategies, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to achieve our goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of 3.5 Housing Advocates to provide high-quality advocacy services to survivors and their children.
- Develop and implement effective advocacy strategies to support survivors and their children.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and achieve our goals.
- Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota to provide 24/7 support to survivors and their children.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in managing teams and developing effective advocacy strategies.
- Expert knowledge of housing advocacy and its application in supporting survivors of gender-based violence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
