Job Opportunity

Procter and Street is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers in delivering complex civil engineering projects. Our client boasts a strong portfolio of repeat business clients and is experiencing significant growth, creating a new role for a seasoned professional.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for directly leading a team of engineers in the successful completion of diverse civil engineering projects in complex environments. They will be a key figure on-site, ensuring all works are completed to the client's satisfaction and in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting out to lines and levels to ensure construction of work in accordance with contract drawings/specifications
  • Preparing and maintaining work records and data sheets, ensuring work is carried out in accordance with contract requirements
  • Assisting site agents/contract supervisors/senior engineers with general contract administration
  • Completing topographical surveys and assisting with setting up and monitoring of GPS on plant equipment
  • Maintaining contract management quality records as directed by senior engineers/site agents
  • Producing as-built drawings in accordance with client requirements
  • Carrying out site surveys for weekly/monthly measurement purposes
  • Submitting processed information to company quantity surveyors and site agents

Requirements:

  • Strong background in working on a range of civil engineering projects, especially in earthworks, drainage, concrete, piling, utilities, and canal works
  • Valid CSCS card
  • Experience with LSS or similar software
  • Experienced in various civil engineering disciplines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Flexibility and organizational skills
