About the Role

We are seeking an experienced ICT Support Specialist to join our Digital Services team at Scottish Canals. As a key member of our team, you will provide first-line technical support and ICT project delivery, ensuring a professional, efficient, and effective service at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide application and hardware support to Scottish Canals users.
  • Ensure incidents and requests are logged accurately in our Service Management tool.
  • Collaborate with the wider ICT team to maintain and improve cyber resilience.
  • Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of ICT business information.
  • Assume active involvement in personal and technical development.
  • Resolve incidents and requests within Service Desk SLAs.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably with a customer-facing focus.
  • Understanding of support processes and incident management tools.
  • Occasional travel to sites across Scotland.
  • Good understanding of baseline information security in a corporate environment.
Skills and Experience
  • Windows operating systems.
  • Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Laptop, desktop, and mobile troubleshooting.
  • Networking and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Traditional and VOIP telephony systems.
  • Mobile device management solutions.
  • Writing process documents and user training guides.

  • Organized and detail-oriented, with a focus on quality work.
  • Ability to work in a pressurized environment and multitask effectively.
  • Clear and effective communication skills.
