Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Room Service Attendant to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. As a key member of our Food and Beverage Service team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their dining experience is memorable and unique.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advocate and maintain a high standard of luxury service within the Food and Beverage operation.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the discipline, at all times, and advocate this as best practice.
  • Proactively learn new menu items, beverage items, and changes in service standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company Food Safety Programs within assigned area of responsibility, as well as all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Report maintenance issues immediately to appropriate personnel.
  • Product (food & beverage), menu, operational, food hygiene, and service knowledge is essential.
  • Attitude, grooming standard, body language, and tone need to be positive, supportive, and on brand at all times.
  • Attend monthly departmental meetings and 1:1's to stay informed and up-to-date on departmental knowledge.
  • Carry out other duties as required by the F&B Management team.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for delivering excellence in customer service.
  • Knowledge of the overall hotel operations is essential for this role to understand the part you play in the wider guest experience.
  • L2 Food Hygiene certification is preferred, and you should work towards achieving this if you don't hold a certification already.
