Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified auditor with experience in working with charities and social enterprises to join our team at Sayer Vincent. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for undertaking client work, including statutory audits, due diligence, VAT, internal audit, and training activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake client work, including statutory audits, due diligence, VAT, internal audit, and training activities.
  • Follow the firm's policies and procedures on all work to achieve high standards and deliver an excellent service to clients.
  • Provide effective supervision and training to trainee accountants who are undertaking audit work.
  • Work autonomously for clients, presenting completed audit file for manager review, including management letter.

Requirements:

  • External audit experience with a focus on charities and social enterprises.
  • Ability to work with incomplete records and accounting packages.
  • Experience supervising audit staff and at least two years' experience working on audit assignments.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly when interacting with people from a non-financial background.
