About the Role:
As a Charity Audit Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in managing a diverse portfolio of charity and not-for-profit clients. Your expertise will be essential in guiding these organizations through the unique challenges they face, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Portfolio Management: Oversee and review your portfolio, ensuring the efficient operation of the department while maintaining high standards of service delivery.
- Audit Engagement Oversight: Lead the audit process from planning through to execution and completion, ensuring adherence to UK charity regulations and auditing standards.
- Financial Reporting: Supervise the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and providing insightful financial reporting for clients.
- Client Relationship Management: Act as the primary contact for charity clients, understanding their specific needs and delivering tailored advice to foster strong relationships.
- Team Development: Mentor and guide audit team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Technical Support: Provide expert advice on charity-specific accounting issues and stay updated on sector changes to inform clients and team members.
- Reporting Excellence: Review and approve audit reports and financial statements, ensuring clarity and actionable insights for clients.
- Business Development: Engage in initiatives to expand the charity client base and enhance service offerings through collaboration with partners and other departments.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience: Proven managerial experience in auditing, particularly with UK registered charities.
- Qualifications: ACA or ACCA qualified, demonstrating a solid foundation in audit and accounting principles.
- Leadership Skills: A track record of leading and motivating teams, fostering a culture of development.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong IT skills, including familiarity with audit software and MS Office applications.
