Job Description

We are excited to present an opportunity for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to become a part of our team at Vistry Group. This role involves supporting the delivery of our expanding development projects. You will work under the guidance of the Commercial Manager and collaborate closely with a Senior Quantity Surveyor to ensure the successful commercial management of residential development schemes.

Your responsibilities will include assisting the Surveying department with cost management throughout the project lifecycle, from procurement to the final accounts of sub-contractors. This position is crucial, and we are looking for candidates who have experience in a similar role within the construction industry.

Key responsibilities include...

  • Participating in site meetings to understand construction drawings
  • Assisting in the preparation of tender packages for sub-contract trades
  • Analyzing received tenders and comparing levels
  • Issuing sub-contract orders in line with company policies
  • Liaising with the Build Department regarding sub-contractor performance
  • Providing necessary budget information to meet reporting requirements
  • Managing site project administration and documentation
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety policies
