About the Role

We are excited to present an opportunity for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to become a part of our team at Vistry Cornwall South West. This position will be primarily site-based in Exeter, where you will play a vital role in supporting the execution of our expanding development projects in the region.

Key Responsibilities

As a Junior Quantity Surveyor, you will:

  • Collaborate with the Commercial Manager and Senior Quantity Surveyor to ensure effective commercial management of residential development projects.
  • Assist in cost management throughout the project lifecycle, from procurement to final account settlements.
  • Participate in site pre-start meetings to familiarize yourself with construction drawings and project specifications.
  • Help compile tender packages for various subcontract trades and analyze received tenders.
  • Support the issuance of subcontract orders in line with company policies and best practices.
  • Engage with the Build Department regarding subcontractor performance and compliance.
  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly reports on project costs and forecasts.
  • Ensure timely processing of invoices and applications for payment, adhering to contractual terms.
  • Maintain organized project documentation and assist in the management of site project administration.
