Job Summary

As a Warehouse Associate at Randstad Delivery (GBS), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare products for shipment to their final destinations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Conduct all activities in accordance with our Health & Safety culture, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
  • Material Handling: Perform routine material handling tasks related to the receipt, movement, and shipment of materials and finished goods.
  • Administrative Support: Provide standard clerical and administrative support for the billing and shipping functions, including photocopying, filing, and maintaining records of shipments.
  • Order Fulfillment: Pick, assemble, and verify customer orders ready for distribution, arranging transport as necessary.
  • Regulatory Compliance: For goods considered dangerous for transport, assemble goods and prepare documentation to ensure compliance against international and national regulations (ADR / IATA).
  • Team Collaboration: Contribute effectively to the Dundee Logistics Team by taking full accountability for your workload, ensuring work is completed to a high standard in accordance with site policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
Requirements
  • National Qualification: National 4 Award or Higher in Maths.
  • Warehouse Experience: Proven warehouse experience, with the ability to operate forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Health and Safety Knowledge: Solid understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and ERP Systems.
  • Organizational Skills: Good organization skills, managing quality documentation, execution of order placement, and other administrative duties in a timely manner.
  • Communication Skills: Good communication skills, both written and oral, working with other departments, effective preparation of documents and reports.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work as a member of a small team.
  • Additional Skills: Not required, but an understanding of the requirements for handling dangerous goods by air and/or road is advantageous.
