We cater to private patients and are also licensed by NICE to offer Tier-3 weight management services to the NHS.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a qualified Pharmacist to manage our online-only dispensing pharmacy. The successful candidate will be experienced in managing a dispensary team, and possess knowledge and experience related to weight management and the prescription of GLP-1 / GIP medications.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the team in dispensing weight management medications.
- Ensure all dispensing activities comply with current medical guidelines, policies, and regulations.
- Regularly review and update all policies and SOPs related to pharmacy operations.
- Provide medical advice and support to patients concerning their treatment plans and prescriptions.
- Address medical inquiries and offer guidance on the side effects, benefits, and proper use of prescribed medications.
- Contribute to the development of CheqUp's clinical guidelines for weight management medications, together with the prescribing team led by Dr Andrea Pucci.
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records for all patients.
- Manage the team of dispensers and trainee dispensers in the pharmacy.
- Conduct periodic appraisals and performance reviews.
- Monitor performance across a range of indicators including dispensing timescales and take corrective action where necessary.
- Maintain knowledge of best practice and make appropriate recommendations for implementation.
- Lead the team in conducting audits and quality improvement activities.
- Experience in weight management and the prescribing of GLP-1 / GIP medications, or leading clinics (preferably in endocrinology/diabetes) or working on an endocrinology ward.
