The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with a student with special educational needs, delivering customized assistance to enhance their learning and development within the classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized support and guidance to a student with special educational needs, ensuring their unique learning requirements are addressed.
  • Work collaboratively with the classroom teacher and SEN Coordinator to implement tailored learning strategies and plans.
  • Assist in the development and modification of educational materials and resources to suit the student's specific needs and capabilities.
  • Encourage a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere that supports the student's social, emotional, and academic progress.
  • Monitor and document the student's development, offering regular updates to the educational team and guardians.
  • Support the student with any personal care or mobility needs as required.

Previous experience in supporting children with special educational needs, particularly in an educational setting, is highly valued.

A compassionate and patient demeanor, along with a sincere dedication to addressing the individual needs of each student, is essential.

Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant certification, would be beneficial.

A positive outlook, adaptability, and a readiness to respond to the evolving needs of the student and the educational environment are crucial.
