Position Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs Support Assistant to join our team. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Students: Assist pupils with ADHD, Autism, and other complex needs to ensure they can engage effectively in their learning environment.
  • Personal Care: Provide necessary personal care and assist with moving and handling as required.
  • Maintain Discipline: Ensure adherence to school policies and rules.
  • Collaborate with Educators: Work alongside teachers to support primary and secondary students with varying abilities, including those with special educational needs.
  • Emotional Support: Offer empathy and support to children who require additional assistance.
  • Health and Safety: Report any health and safety concerns to the maintenance team for prompt resolution.
  • Effective Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with teachers and students regarding any concerns or issues.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments of the environment and respond appropriately.
  • Behavior Monitoring: Observe student behavior, intervene when necessary, and report any safeguarding issues through the appropriate channels.
