Geotechnical/Geo-Environmental Engineer Job Description

Leap Environmental, an RSK Group company, is seeking an experienced Geotechnical/Geo-Environmental Engineer to join their team in the South East region. This is a full-time, permanent position based in one of their offices in Hemel Hempstead, Tunbridge Wells, or Kent.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of geo-environmental and geotechnical projects, demonstrating technical, commercial, and project management capabilities. Key responsibilities include designing and managing ground investigation projects, providing technical support, and overseeing soil and rock logging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and manage geo-environmental and geotechnical ground investigation projects for external clients and internal teams
  • Provide technical support and control project costs
  • Oversee ground investigations, including soil and rock logging
  • Conduct geotechnical analysis and design

Requirements:

  • BEng or BSc in Civil, Geology, or Geotechnical Engineering, or equivalent
  • Desirable: further degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnics, or Environmental Science, or equivalent
  • Registered with a suitable professional body and working towards Chartered status
  • Typically 5 years of relevant experience
  • Good understanding of geology, ground investigation works, engineering geology, and geotechnical and geo-environmental engineering
