About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our CAMHS Crisis Practitioner team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to young people and their families in crisis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and formulate care and treatment plans for young people in crisis, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions and therapies to young people and their families, including DBT, CBT, and systemic therapies.
  • Work closely with community services and community-based teams to promote positive outcomes for vulnerable young people and their families.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with young people, families, and other stakeholders to ensure effective care and support.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures, ensuring they are aligned with best practice and evidence-based guidelines.
Requirements
  • Professional qualification in a relevant field, such as nursing, social work, occupational therapy, or counseling.
  • Significant experience in mental health, particularly in hospital and community settings.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in highly emotive situations and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience in formulating care and treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions and therapies.
  • Flexibility to work within a service that operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year, including unsociable hours.
