Speech and Language Therapist (Autism & Mental Health)

Job Summary:

MLK Education Search is seeking a confident Speech and Language Therapist to join a 'Outstanding' Independent, trauma-centred therapeutic group of schools in Essex. The successful candidate will work with children who have EHCPs for adverse childhood experiences and SEMH needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead staff training and development to ensure integrated therapy and learning provision.
  • Offer therapeutic interventions to aid children's emotional wellbeing and learning.
  • Plan, resource and prepare effective therapy programmes for children.
  • Build positive working relationships with children's families.
  • Ensure children's safety and supervision at all times.
  • Plan, lead and deliver whole-staff therapeutic training.
Requirements:
  • Degree level, fully qualified and registered Speech and Language Therapist.
  • Successful experience of working with children and young people in challenging contexts.
  • High level of competence in both English and maths.
  • Further relevant training or qualifications desirable.
