Your Role: Championing Safety at BYK AdditivesAs our Health & Safety Manager, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of safety excellence across our Widnes site. You'll be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and regulations, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and providing expert guidance to our teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Cultivate a positive safety culture by actively promoting best practices and engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Serve as a role model for health and safety standards, setting the benchmark for our site operations.
- Maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and guidelines.
- Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive health and safety procedures, systems, and training programs.
- Collaborate closely with line managers to embed safety practices into daily operations and promote a proactive approach to risk management.
- Provide support to the Environmental Manager in integrating environmental considerations into our overall safety strategy.
- Champion incident reporting and investigation processes, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure adherence to all health and safety protocols, including Permit to Work (PTW) and Management of Change (MOC).
- Oversee the development and management of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for all site activities.
- Serve as a point of contact for all health and safety-related inquiries, providing clear guidance and decision-making support.
