About the Role

Carr Gomm is seeking a dedicated individual to provide communication support to vulnerable individuals within the Criminal Justice System.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide communication support to individuals with mental disorders during police investigations and other investigatory processes.
  • Work independently to ensure that individuals are not disadvantaged by their mental disorder during the police process.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals, police officers, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth and respectful process.
  • Have a non-judgmental attitude and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Requirements
  • Experience in the field of mental health, learning disabilities, dementia, autism, and/or acquired brain injuries.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in an oppressive environment.
  • Reliability and a commitment to being available for call-outs within one and a half hours.
  • Availability to work a minimum of 4 days out of 7, including overnight shifts.
