Catering Operations Manager

We are seeking a dedicated Catering Supervisor to join our team at Chartwells - Independent. As a Catering Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our catering services, working closely with our team to deliver high-quality food and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise a team of catering staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Ensure all deliveries are checked and stored promptly and correctly, maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
- Assist with weekly bookwork and other duties as necessary, contributing to the efficient operation of the catering service.
- Produce weekly rotas following the manager's guidelines, ensuring adequate staffing levels and effective team management.
- Place orders for stock to maintain the correct stock levels, ensuring minimal waste and optimal inventory management.
- Delegating where necessary and ensuring the team are proactive at all times, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Comply with Food Handling & Hygiene standards, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Comply with Health & Safety regulations, identifying and mitigating potential risks to ensure a safe working environment.
- Previous experience supervising frontline teams within a similar environment, with a proven track record of delivering excellent customer service.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers at all levels.
- Team player with a can-do attitude, able to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude in challenging situations.
