About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our Liaison Psychiatry service based in Exeter. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in contributing to the mental health care of people in the general hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct specialist mental health assessments and devise interventions to support individuals in their recovery.
  • Work collaboratively with a dynamic multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care and support.
  • Develop and implement individual recovery plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each individual.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, patients, families, and carers to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in teaching and mentoring junior staff and students to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Extensive post-registration experience working in mental health care, ideally in both inpatient and community settings.
  • Experience of leading on completion of biopsychosocial assessments and developing interventions for individuals with mental health needs.
  • Ability to clinically supervise junior and unqualified staff and mentor students.
  • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency environment.
