About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safeguarding Nurse to join our team at Lakeside Healthcare Group. As a Safeguarding Nurse, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and adults within our primary care network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead multi-disciplinary meetings to ensure a high-quality safeguarding service is delivered to all staff, patients, and across the Primary Care Network Practices.
  • Plan and assess appropriate care for all children and families, working alongside safeguarding partners to improve outcomes for vulnerable children, young people, and adults.
  • Provide advice, support, and relevant information to professionals, enabling the safeguarding team to assess the most appropriate plan of action for each individual case reviewed.
  • Deputise for the Head of Safeguarding, ensuring the safeguarding team continues to deliver all key objectives, statutory functions, and CQC requirements.
  • Support all Doctors and Nurses to complete their statutory duty within the safeguarding arena.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all colleagues.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience as a registered nurse with a background in child care.
  • Experience of management of safeguarding child and adult cases, including attendance at professional meetings, child protection case conferences, and ARM meetings.
  • Registered Nurse, Midwife, Health Visitor, or SN (SCPHN) qualification.
  • Up-to-date Revalidation requirements in relation to NMC registration.
