About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Trade Mark Formalities Paralegal to join our vibrant and busy trade mark and designs practice in London.

The successful candidate will be involved in the day-to-day administration activities of our trade mark and designs practice, supporting qualified IP lawyers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and filing trade mark and design applications, renewals, and recordals with various registries.
  • Dealing with local counsel in relation to filing overseas trade mark applications and renewals.
  • Managing deadlines and diaries to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Filing correspondence and forms with various intellectual property offices.
  • Checking, processing, and reporting incoming post and electronic communications to the team.
  • Updating our trade mark portfolio management databases.
  • Reporting standard prosecution to clients and liaising with clients on formalities matters.
  • Assisting with preparation of fee estimates for filing programs.
  • Performing other ad hoc duties as required.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years' experience in trade mark administration.
  • Familiarity with various intellectual property registries, including the EUIPO, UKIPO, BOIP, and WIPO.
  • Good working knowledge of trade mark and design portfolio management databases.
  • Fluency in English, with French and/or Dutch language skills desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong work ethic.
