About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Trade Marks Assistant to join our team at The Random House Group Limited. As a Trade Marks Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our brand legal team in managing our international trademark portfolios and ensuring the protection of our intellectual property rights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation of formalities, supporting evidence, and documentation for trade mark actions and legal proceedings.
  • Undertake research tasks on various trade mark and intellectual property-related topics.
  • Update records, generate reports, and perform other administrative tasks using our trade marks management system.
  • Manage invoicing, including liaising with external providers, using internal invoicing systems to assist with approvals and processing, and assisting with invoicing queries.
  • Undertake longer-term trade mark-related administrative projects, such as scanning and indexing of materials/documents.
Requirements

We are looking for an enthusiastic and conscientious team player with excellent attention to detail and communication skills. You will need to be competent at using Word, Excel, Adobe, and ideally, have worked with and used trade mark management, invoicing, and electronic signature systems previously.

Prior experience of working in a law firm or in-house legal team as a legal assistant, legal secretary, or paralegal, ideally in the field of trade marks, brand protection, or intellectual property generally, would be highly desirable. A paralegal qualification is ideal but not essential.
