Working as a Principal Civil Engineer primarily with clients in the regulated water sector, you will undertake technical design and analysis for both new build and existing steel and reinforced concrete civil structures, using appropriate structural analysis and design packages, following local and national guidance. In addition, you will implement high levels of quality, and consider sustainability and safety at all stages of the design and asset lifecycle, successfully managing time and budgets to project milestones and programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake technical design and analysis for new build and existing steel and reinforced concrete civil structures
  • Implement high levels of quality and consider sustainability and safety at all stages of the design and asset lifecycle
  • Manage time and budgets to project milestones and programmes
  • Have knowledge of structural engineering codes (Eurocodes / BSI, etc.)
  • Experience in RC design and detailing, preferably including water-retaining structures, soil-retaining structures, and foundation design
  • Knowledge of computational analysis techniques and software
  • Knowledge of BIM is an advantage
  • Experience of construction techniques is an advantage
