Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Safety Engineer to join our team in the Energy Transition Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and innovative design solutions in the forefront of the Green Energy transition.

The successful candidate will have a solid technical background in Process Safety Engineering and execution of QRAs/FERAs from the Energy sector. You will be part of a strong team of multidiscipline engineers and project managers in the UK, working on interesting, challenging, and varied projects to deliver in the near future within the Green Energy transition.

Key responsibilities will include leading and coordinating risk and safety studies, preparing safety documentation, leading safety workshops, evaluating risk and risk reducing measures, and performing quantitative risk assessments (QRA) and fire- and explosions risk assessments (FERA) using QRA software.

We are looking for a detail-oriented, self-driven, pro-active, and result-oriented individual who is an analytical talent with a passion for creating innovative solutions. You will have excellent English skills and a good understanding of heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and general process design.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree in Process/Chemical engineering
  • Relevant experience as Process or Process Safety Engineer from the Energy sector
  • Experience with safety documentation during engineering of projects
  • Experience with performing, leading, and coordinating work for quantitative risk assessments (QRA) and fire- and explosions risk assessments (FERA)
  • Experience with relevant QRA software
  • Good understanding of heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and general process design
  • Excellent English skills
