About the Position

Balfour Beatty presents an exciting opportunity for a Technical Assurance Engineer to be part of our esteemed Major Projects division . This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity and quality of our significant infrastructure initiatives.

Our projects are designed to enhance connectivity and provide exceptional service to the public, contributing to the development of vital transport links across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute Configuration Management activities in line with the established Configuration Management Plan, ensuring compliance and obtaining necessary approvals.
  • Act as the Configuration Management liaison for subcontractor teams, ensuring adherence to the Configuration Management protocols and serving as a point of contact for stakeholders.
  • Assess project documentation related to Configuration and verify alignment with project specifications and the Configuration Management Plan.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of Configuration Status Reports to support the project’s design assurance processes.
  • Collaborate with Requirements and Assurance Engineers to prepare submissions for client approval, ensuring comprehensive documentation.
  • Assist in the execution of the Technical Assurance process alongside the Technical Assurance Team, including the delivery of certification and assurance documentation.
  • Provide training and support to relevant stakeholders to enhance their understanding and capabilities in delivering Configuration Status Reports and other assurance documentation.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in configuration management and software configuration management within project environments.
  • Understanding of asset management principles.
  • Background in large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Familiarity with database management tools.
