Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial systems and budget management
- Conduct independent financial audits to assess the organization's fiscal health
- Offer expert financial guidance
- Collaborate with clients, both individuals and businesses, to deliver financial insights and recommendations
- Evaluate company systems and assess potential risks
- Execute tests to verify the accuracy of financial data and systems
- Advise clients on tax strategies within legal frameworks to optimize tax liabilities and address tax implications related to business transactions such as mergers and acquisitions
- Maintain comprehensive accounting records and prepare financial statements and management reports for medium-sized enterprises
- Provide counsel on corporate finance matters, including mergers and acquisitions
- Support clients in identifying business improvement opportunities and navigating insolvency challenges
- Detect and mitigate fraudulent activities through forensic accounting practices
- Supervise junior team members
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to address any financial discrepancies
- Generate reports and recommendations following audits
- Prepare financial statements, including monthly and annual reports
- Organize financial management reports, encompassing planning and forecasting
- Offer advice on tax and treasury matters
- Ensure management accounts are completed by the 15th of each month
- Manage a substantial Asset Register on a monthly basis
- Oversee complex intercompany trading and reconciliation on a monthly basis
- Lead a team of 9 across two locations
- Manage electronic sales and purchase ledgers
- Implement and oversee a new electronic system for vehicle and driver management
- Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers
