Job Title: Highly Specialist Speech Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech Therapist to join our Community Learning Disability Team. The successful candidate will work with adults with learning disabilities, providing highly specialist assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of communication and swallowing disorders in adults with learning disabilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication and swallowing needs
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Provide training and education to families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals on communication and swallowing strategies
  • Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to advance the field of speech therapy
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Experience working with adults with learning disabilities and complex communication and swallowing needs
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
