About the Role

Talent Sure Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Supply Chain department, you will be responsible for managing purchase orders, maintaining relationships with vendors, and ensuring data integrity.

Main Responsibilities
  • Purchase Order Management: Manage purchase orders based on system demands and forecasts, ensuring smooth transactions.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with key vendors and ensure shared processes are efficient.
  • Data Integrity: Keep Business Central information accurate and updated, guaranteeing data integrity.
  • Procurement Research: Find new parts quickly and efficiently, gathering essential details like price, supplier, and lead time. You'll also explore new and alternative supplier options.
  • Negotiation and Sourcing: Negotiate and source strategically to achieve cost reductions against set targets. Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure competitive purchasing and maximize value from existing suppliers.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Run, create, and analyze various daily and monthly reports. You'll also actively participate in meetings, keeping everyone informed.
  • Returned Items Management: Efficiently manage the process for returned items.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to other Supply Chain functions during peak periods.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience working within a similar role. This includes great administration skills, experience working in a procurement team with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attitude and Skills: Have a positive 'can do' attitude, is self-motivated and can take ownership of situations.
  • Education: GCSE Grade A-C including Maths and English, 'O' level standard or NVQ level 2/3.
  • Qualifications: Working towards CIPS or equivalent qualification.
  • Software Skills: Full understanding of Microsoft packages including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Negotiation Skills: Experience in negotiating supplier contracts to gain cost reduction.
  • Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills.
