Civil Site Manager Job Description

Cherry Professional is seeking an experienced Civil Site Manager to join our client's team. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of water infrastructure projects by managing sites effectively, minimizing risks, and fostering positive relationships with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Site Management: Ensure that construction drawings are accurately interpreted and communicated to site teams, and that setting out is accurate and precise.
  • Progress Management: Effectively influence site progress and ensure that programme deadlines are met.
  • Relationship Management: Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other team members.
  • Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety: Ensure that all aspects of the work are adhered to during the project phase.
  • Knowledge Development: Continuously develop knowledge in the industry and communicate best practice guidance to line managers and relevant staff.
  • IMS Management: Maintain the Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Other Duties: Undertake any other duties as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Degree in Civil Engineering or other industry-related qualification with 5+ years relevant on-the-ground experience.
  • Experience: Experience within the clean water/wastewater sector is essential.
  • Skills: Numeracy and IT skills, including MS Office, Word, and Excel.
  • Initiative and Accountability: Ability to use your own initiative, taking accountability and responsibility for projects from start to finish.
  • Deadline Driven: Deadline-driven, instilling motivation in your team to hit key targets.
