Cherry Professional is seeking a seasoned Civil Site Manager to oversee the successful execution of water infrastructure projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing sites effectively, minimizing risks, and fostering positive relationships with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate construction drawings are communicated to site teams for layouts, material measurements, and other critical tasks.
  • Verify that setting out is precise, providing clear lines, levels, and reference points on site.
  • Influence site progress and ensure programme deadlines are met, driving efficiency and productivity.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety aspects are adhered to during project phases.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, communicating and implementing guidance to line managers and relevant staff.
  • Maintain Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Undertake additional duties as necessary.
  • Lead Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Manage subcontractors, teams, and address issues as required.
  • Deliver projects on time and to a high specification.
  • Responsible for document control as part of project control.

Ideal Candidate:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or relevant industry qualification with 5+ years of on-site experience.
  • Experience in the clean water/wastewater sector is essential.
  • Numeracy and IT skills, including MS Office, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience working on water infrastructure projects (clean and wastewater, e.g., truck mains, shafts, gravity sewers).
  • Ability to use initiative, take accountability, and responsibility for projects from start to finish.
  • Deadline-driven, motivating teams to hit key targets.
  • A full driving license.
