Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Cost Management and Business Development to join our team at AESG. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the growth and development of our Cost Consultancy business across the UK, with a focus on London.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in cost consultancy, with experience in delivering pre-contract cost management services throughout all design stages, as well as post-contract commercial services including reporting, change management, and contract administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Development: Develop and implement a business growth strategy to drive revenue growth and expand our Cost Consultancy services across the UK.
  • Cost Management: Lead the delivery of cost management services on major construction projects, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of cost reports and advice to clients.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and develop a team of cost consultants, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to clients.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Commercial Management: Manage the financial performance of the Cost Consultancy business, ensuring profitability and growth.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in cost consultancy, with a strong background in delivering pre-contract and post-contract cost management services.
  • Qualifications: Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management, with post-graduate education preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
