About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Tour Guide to join our team at Shepherd Neame, Britain's oldest brewer. As a Tour Guide, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences and sharing the rich history and stories of our brewery and surrounding area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare the brewery for tours, including setting up information stands, tidying bar areas, and replenishing supplies.
  • Assist with cellar work, serving in the shop, and assisting with stock management.
  • Lead groups through tutored tastings and serve at the bar as required.
  • Provide feedback to the Visitor Centre Manager and assist with special functions and events.
  • Fulfill other duties reasonably requested by the Visitor Centre Manager or Senior Tour Guides.
Requirements
  • Experience in conducting guided tours and sharing knowledge of historical landmarks.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • A deep appreciation for the history and culture of the brewery and its surrounding area.
  • Sales skills to promote the brewery's products and services.
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently.
