We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Tour Guide to join our team at Shepherd Neame, Britain's oldest brewer. As a Tour Guide, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences and sharing the rich history and stories of our brewery and its surroundings.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare the brewery for tours, including setting up information stands, tidying bar areas, and replenishing bottle coolers.
- Assist with cellar work, serving in the shop, and assisting with shop stocking and ordering.
- Lead groups through tutored tastings and serve at the bar as required.
- Provide feedback from visitors to the Visitor Centre Manager and assist with special functions at the brewery.
- Carry out Visitor Centre Assistants' duties as required and fulfill any other duties reasonably requested by the Visitor Centre Manager or Senior Tour Guides.
- Experience in conducting guided tours and sharing knowledge of historical landmarks.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A deep appreciation for the history and culture of the brewery and its surrounding area.
- Sales skills to promote the brewery's products and services.
- Ability to work well in a team and independently.
- Demonstrable experience in hospitality, tourism, or a relevant field.
