Heritage Ambassador

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Tour Guide to join our team at Shepherd Neame, Britain's oldest brewer. As a Tour Guide, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences and sharing the rich history and stories of our brewery and surrounding area.

• Prepare the brewery for tours, including setting up information stands, tidying bar areas, and replenishing bottle coolers.
• Assist with cellar work as required.
• Serve in the shop and assist with stocking, tidying, and ordering.
• Assist with bookings and administration as required.
• Prepare the Visitor Centre and bar in accordance with checklists.
• Show groups around following the tour route and script, highlighting points of interest and recent awards/innovations.
• Answer visitors' questions and provide additional information as needed.
• Lead groups through tutored tastings and serve at the bar as required.
• Close down the Visitor Centre and bar in accordance with checklists.
• Provide feedback to the Visitor Centre Manager.
• Assist with special functions and outside events as required.
• Fulfill any other duties reasonably requested by the Visitor Centre Manager or Senior Tour Guides.

• Experience in conducting guided tours and sharing knowledge of historical landmarks.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A deep appreciation for the history and culture of the brewery and its surrounding area.
• Sales skills to promote the brewery's products and services.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus.
