Position Overview


This is a Fully Remote Opportunity allowing you to work from the comfort of your home.


We are collaborating with one of the UK's premier infrastructure firms, specializing in highway projects, including both capital initiatives and maintenance services.


Due to recent significant contract acquisitions, there is a need to enhance the work-winning team with the strategic appointment of a Lead Estimator within the projects division, focusing on roadways and related infrastructure with project values starting from £10 million. You will be responsible for transforming client tender information into a detailed pricing proposal for submission.


Most of the preconstruction team operates remotely, with occasional visits to the office for essential team and stakeholder meetings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guide clients in formulating budgets from the initial design phases of projects.
  • Evaluate and quantify project risks and opportunities.
  • Stay informed about current market pricing and conditions, benchmarking our solutions to mitigate risks and enhance success.
  • Ensure compliance with clients' infrastructure policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate a formal project handover to commercial and operational teams.
Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrable experience in Civil Engineering.
  • Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering, Construction, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • Possession of a relevant CSCS Card.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (preferably Causeway) and strong skills in Excel and general IT.
