Project Delivery Lead

Sector: Finance / Insurance / Agile

Location: Hybrid (Newcastle – 2x a Week)

Compensation: Up to £70k + Bonus (7-20%) + 15% Pension

An esteemed client in the insurance sector is undergoing significant transformation following a recent merger, resulting in extensive changes across both operations and technology. The organization has transitioned to an agile/product-focused environment, although some aspects of waterfall methodology remain in the delivery process.

As the Project Delivery Lead, you will report directly to the Head of Delivery. Your primary responsibility will be overseeing the finance squad and managing all external suppliers. This role is externally focused, requiring you to actively engage and manage stakeholders and suppliers. Furthermore, you will participate in all committee meetings, providing updates and sharing your technical expertise.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience in delivering finance-related projects
  • Proven track record in effective delivery of large and complex technical projects using both agile and waterfall methodologies
  • Strong technical acumen encompassing the full software development lifecycle
  • Exceptional supplier management skills
  • Proficient in stakeholder management, engagement, and negotiation
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within the insurance or financial sectors
  • Background in mergers and acquisitions
