About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Fish Buyer to join our dynamic team at Nomad Foods. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing high-quality fish from around the world, managing supplier relationships, and driving value for our company and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute long-term sourcing strategies to deliver sustainable improvements in cost, quality, service, and innovation.
- Understand key cost drivers, industry trends, and standard methodologies to design effective sourcing strategies.
- Develop and maintain long-term pricing mechanisms and relationship strategies for fish species to drive sustainable competitive advantage.
- Secure direct supply, assure high-quality standards, on-time deliveries, and ensure food safety regulations and CSR requirements.
Requirements
- Experience working in an FMCG/food manufacturing procurement environment.
- Good understanding of purchasing contracts, cost modeling, and developing sourcing strategies.
- Excellent relationship building and negotiation skills.
- Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) or similar qualification is highly advantageous.
