About the Role

Nomad Foods Europe Limited is a leading branded frozen food business with a strong presence in Europe. As the Buyer - Fish, you will play a crucial role in developing and leading long-term sourcing strategies for direct raw materials and co-manufactured finished goods. You will partner with functional leads to design and implement sourcing strategies, innovation, and renovation for all categories in scope.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute advantaged long-term sourcing strategies to deliver sustainable improvements in cost, quality, service, and innovation.
  • Understand key cost drivers, industry trends, and standard methodologies to design and implement sourcing strategies.
  • Develop and maintain long-term pricing mechanisms and relationship strategies to drive sustainable competitive advantage.
  • Secure direct supply, assure high-quality standards, on-time deliveries, and ensure food safety regulations and CSR requirements.
  • Lead sourcing strategies for your category and demonstrate knowledge and expertise across the business and optimal commercial conditions.
  • Ensure a productivity pipeline delivers +8% annual net productivity and align with function objectives by driving increase in payment terms across spend supply base.
  • Lead supplier performance and contract compliance, providing regular financial, service, and quality forecasts.
  • Work closely with Group and Local partners to ensure deep understanding of functional needs and develop strategies to enable breakthrough ideas capturing from suppliers.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Finance, Business, Economics degree, Master preferred.
  • Excellent functional knowledge (2 to 3 years+ in leading Procurement roles): Depth of different aspects of Procurement such as sourcing, category management, preferably within Fish or Food & Beverage industry.
  • A good level of experience in sourcing processes and procurement standard methodologies, with some experience of implementing them in a global environment.
