About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in West Yorkshire. As a Specialist Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for providing specialist speech and language therapy assessments and interventions for service users with complex learning disabilities and mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist speech and language therapy assessments and interventions for service users with complex learning disabilities and mental health needs.
  • Work as an integral member of the multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support to service users.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each service user.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and support.
  • Contribute to the leadership and development of the Specialist Learning Disability Health Team.
Requirements
  • Post-registration experience in learning disabilities.
  • Documented evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Supervision of staff and/or students.
  • Postgraduate Dysphagia training or ability to successfully complete the training within 2 years.
  • Evidence of ongoing training and relevant postgraduate courses in communication and dysphagia.
