About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Hand Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital. As a key member of our physiotherapy department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, effective clinical care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a complex clinical caseload of hand therapy patients referred from Consultants, GP's, PMI's or self-referrals, as well as post-operative patients.
  • Work collaboratively with our orthopaedic hand surgeons, running clinics alongside them to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Exercise professional autonomy and integrity, adhering to our values and beliefs at Nuffield Health.
  • Deliver excellent clinical care that is evidence-based, safe, effective, caring, well-led, and responsive to patient needs.
  • Participate in clinical audit and other quality assurance processes to ensure ongoing monitoring of treatment standards.
Requirements
  • BSc in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, or equivalent and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Minimum 5 years experience working in the field of hand therapy, with experience of leading a service desirable.
  • Excellent hand therapy and splinting skills, with the ability to demonstrate confidence and competence in these areas.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Competent IT user with strong organisation skills, able to prioritise and manage a varied workload effectively.
