Chichester, West Sussex, United Kingdom University of Chichester Full time

About this role

The University of Chichester is seeking a highly skilled and passionate HCPC registered Physiotherapist to join its rapidly growing healthcare education team. This is an exciting time for healthcare education in our GOLD TEF University, which reflects our outstanding teaching and student experience. We are growing our provision and have significant investment in resources alongside a growing reputation for innovation and excellence.

As a Physiotherapy Senior Lecturer, your responsibilities will include leading in teaching and module co-ordinating for a contemporary Physiotherapy curriculum. You will enhance the student experience across our provision, providing students with a high-quality, research-informed educational experience leading to an understanding of healthcare practice and the achievement of both academic and professional qualifications.

About you

The appointed postholder will have leadership experience, a good relevant undergraduate degree with further professional or academic qualifications at Masters level (or working towards) in Physiotherapy. You will be a practicing Physiotherapist currently on the HCPC register for a minimum of 4 years and a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP). You will have experience of working as a Physiotherapist in the UK, experience of supporting students, and ideally in the NHS.

About the team

You will work within the team to strengthen the distinctiveness of the University's student experience as high-quality, personalised, accessible, and aspirational. You'll need to demonstrate an ability to work effectively and positively within a small academic team, excellent teaching methods, and the ability to develop a variety of approaches to learning and teaching that is student-centred, inclusive, and flexible.

What we offer

In addition to your salary, we offer a competitive reward package with a range of staff benefits, professional development, and discounts, including a defined benefit pension scheme, a paid closure period over the Christmas break, a generous holiday allowance, and an occupational sickness scheme.
