Job Overview:

This project is one of the most important construction projects at the Sellafield Site, the plant will play a vital role in Sellafield's 100-year clean-up programme by taking nuclear waste recovered from the sites original waste plants and encasing it in concrete so it can be stored in a modern building.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management and coordination of all the elements of mechanical plant and equipment installation.
  • Liaising with Logistics Team and Supply Chain to ensure safe and efficient delivery of equipment and materials to site.
  • Supporting the development of look-ahead's based on the programme and milestones.
  • Coordinating plant and equipment installation.
  • Reviewing and reporting the weekly progress against the programme with the M, E & I Installation Manager.

Requirements:

  • Experience of fulfilling a mechanical engineering role on Construction projects.
  • Formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering, (minimum HNC).
  • Good knowledge of Mech Engineering practices and ability to follow drawings and specifications.
  • IOSH Managing Safely.
  • Experience of Sellafield procedures an advantage.
