Job Title: IT Support Specialist

Location: UK

Salary: Up to £35,000

We are seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team at Spectrum IT Recruitment. As a 2nd Line IT Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our clients, focusing on more advanced and escalated issues.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide IT Support: Offer face-to-face and remote support to our clients, focusing on more advanced and escalated technical issues.

- Manage Tickets: Handle a variety of support requests, ensuring all documentation is clear and keeping clients informed throughout the resolution process.

- Collaborate on Projects: Work with the service desk manager to improve our IT systems and infrastructure, taking on projects that interest you.

- Team Support: Assist the IT team with daily tasks, contributing to a positive and efficient work environment.

- Ensure Great Service: Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a positive and friendly approach in all interactions with clients.

- Flexible Assistance: Help with 1st line support tasks when needed, adapting to changes in workload and team needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

- IT Support Experience: Previous experience in an IT support role, especially in a 2nd line capacity.

- Technical Skills: Familiarity with Windows Server 2016 and 2022 in a hybrid environment, Office 365 (Intune, SharePoint, and Exchange), and desktop hardware.

- Networking Knowledge: Understanding of networking, including firewall configuration, VLANs, DHCP, and DNS troubleshooting.

- Communication: Strong communication and organizational skills, with a passion for helping others and providing great service.

- Desire to Learn: Enthusiasm for learning and improving your skills, with a proactive approach to staying up-to-date with new technologies.

- Bonus Skills: Experience with VMware is a plus but not required.
