About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced 2nd Line IT Support Technician to join our dynamic IT team at Spectrum IT Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our staff, focusing on more advanced and escalated issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to staff, including face-to-face and remote assistance.
  • Manage support tickets, ensuring all documentation is clear and staff are informed throughout the resolution process.
  • Collaborate with the service desk manager to improve our IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Assist the IT team with daily tasks, contributing to a positive and efficient work environment.
  • Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a positive and friendly approach in all interactions with staff.
  • Help with 1st line support tasks when needed, adapting to changes in workload and team needs.

Requirements:

  • IT Support Experience: Previous experience in an IT support role, especially in a 2nd line capacity.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with Windows Server 2016 and 2022 in a hybrid environment, Office 365 (Intune, SharePoint, and Exchange), and desktop hardware.
  • Networking Knowledge: Understanding of networking, including firewall configuration, VLANs, DHCP, and DNS troubleshooting.
  • Communication: Strong communication and organizational skills, with a passion for helping others and providing great service.
  • Desire to Learn: Enthusiasm for learning and improving your skills, with a proactive approach to staying up-to-date with new technologies.
